Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society (RCAPS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to fighting for the survival of impounded dogs, cats, and adoptable pets at the Vance County Animal Shelter. We focus on those facing euthanasia, ensuring they receive the emergency medical care they need and the second chance they deserve.

Through the tireless efforts of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors, we provide these animals with a lifeline—a “Ride to Freedom” aboard our RCAPS van to trusted rescues and safe havens along the Eastern Seaboard.
